Important:
Attention all parents! We need newspapers and lots of them.  Please, Please, Please, Please, send in with your child any old newspapers you may have (not magazines).  We are using them for our sensational science presentation next week.  Thank you!  We also need parent volunteers for April 6th (Mrs. Leung-Chow) and 7th (Mrs. Daniels) Please let your teacher know if you are available.

Highlights:
Today was the day we disassembled our Wedo projects. We had to sort and account for all of the pieces in each of our kits. We were a pretty organized bunch! Thanks Gr. 1’s for all of your hard work and commitment to your Wedo projects. 
We had a visit from Ms. Bosse today, again talking about our Zones of Regulation.  We discussed what expected behaviours are and what they might look like. As well we talked about unexpected behviours and how they might make others feel.

Dream Box: Dreambox is an interactive math program that the students have been working on here at school.  We encourage the students to log in at home and practice developing their problem solving skills. Home Reading – Please have your child read around 20 minutes every night.  Don’t forget to ask questions and have conversations about the text.

Kidsa-z.com Reading – Besides reading the at-home white readers that are going home every day, you may also log on to “Raz-Kids”, using the kidsa-z.com website.  The login information is taped on your child’s purple folder.

Highlights:
Today we counted our steps in gym using a pedometer. We also read a couple of stories on spring flowers. We talked about Daffodil’s and tulips and discussed what flower we would like to paint during our art residency next month.

Tuesday March 29, 2016 WELCOME BACK :)

Highlights:
Today we had a math lesson with Mr. Kinsman!  Wow it was great to see how many different ways we could make our favourite numbers.
We also talked about the Zones of Regulation with Mrs. Bosse.  We watched a funny video and discussed what it looks like to be in the blue, green, yellow and red zones.
