Thursday January 14, 2016 NO SCHOOL TOMORROW


Highlights:
In science we played the “I spy” test where we had to test our memory and find out what was missing in a selection of items.  We had outdoor gym this afternoon in the snow.

Homework:
Monday’s Graphemes: ph, two letter “f” phone & Sophie and dge, two letter “j” like judge and fudge.
Tuesday: oe “toe” and tch “watch
Wednesday: ti “nation” and si “vision”
Thursday: ci “ gracious” and ough (many different sounds, see your handout)
Friday No School
Monday: GRAPHEME QUIZ******  these are tricky graphemes, please help your child study for this.

Next Week is letter E… have fun and remember the students should be sounding out their clues independently. If someone has forgotten C….or D…. please complete them this weekend and they may present this week. 

-Home-Reading – Please have your child read around 20 minutes every night.
-Kidsa-z.com Reading – Besides reading the at-home white readers that are going home every day, you may also log on to “Raz-Kids”, using the kidsa-z.com website.  The login information is taped on your child’s purple folder.  The password is the picture cue.

Reminders: 
-*******Please be at school by the time the bell rings in the morning. It is very important that the students are on time in order to start uninterrupted classroom instruction right away in the morning.  If you are arriving late students must enter through the office and obtain a late slip. ******  Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
-PHS School monthly Calendar and newsletters are available on the school website to view and print out
-Milk Cards can be purchased at the office, for students staying at school for lunch
-2016 Panorama Hills School Yearbook:
Inside your child’s individual photo package is a white sheet about the 2016 PHS Yearbook.   Yearbooks are $30 each.  Yearbooks will be printed and delivered to the school in June.
