Highlights:
We finished up working on our robots! We are ready to discuss our special homemade
friends and present them to our classmates. We have sent home any unused items
that were not needed.
In math we discussed all the different
ways that we could show the number 10. Next we will be looking at number 20, students
will independently need to think of 10 ways to represent their number.

Home Reading –
Please have your child read around 20 minutes every night. Don’t forget
to engage your child by talking to them about the text. Being a good
reader is more than just knowing the words!! Good readers will: make
connections, ask and answer questions, visualize the text, make inferences and
transform their thinking.
Alternatives to Traditional Reading –
Part of being a good reader is understanding how to tell a story!
Sometimes listening to a good book is just as educational as reading a good
book. Please check out the links below for alternatives for those days where you’d
like to a change of pace.

2015 Yearbook Offer
Dear Parents, if you missed out on
ordering a yearbook last year, you have one more chance to order.
If there are enough orders to make a print run,
the 2014-2015 Yearbooks will be available for $35 each. We will need 50 books
to make this feasible. Please see the
front office to get an order form by May 9th 2016.
Please join us in appreciating the
wonderful volunteers at Panorama Hills School! On Thursday, May 19th
from 1:30PM – 2:30PM, we will be hosting a Volunteer Tea in our Gymnasium to
recognize and celebrate all that our volunteers do for our school community.
Come and enjoy some special treats served by none other than our silver service
Grade Three Student Voice team! We look forward to seeing you there!
We
need volunteers in Mrs Leung-Chow’s class – All the
grade 1 classes are going on a field trip to the International Calgary
Children's Festival on May 25th. Each class will need 5 parent
volunteers in order to go! We are going to be spending the day downtown
at the festival and will also be seeing a performance by Fred Penner. If you
have security clearance, we would love to have you join us. Thank you!
