Highlights:
-
We learned two new double-graphemes: oo,
ch
-
We did today’s morning math word problem
-
We practiced our Forgiveness virtue assembly run-through today in the gym
-- Ms.
Mui’s class: We did “Read to Self” and “Read to Someone”. We did “Work on Writing” and wrote about our
favourite activities, starting with “I like…”.
We did “Word Work” and made words with these graphemes in them: er, ir,
ur, wor, ear. In Math, we made ABCD
patterns (using a colour pattern, shape pattern, number pattern, and letter
pattern).
-- Mrs.
Daniels’ class: In Daily 5, we did a very good job rotating into the
sections of Daily 5 today: “Read to Self”, “Read to Someone”, “Work on
Writing”, “Word Work”, and “Listen to Reading”.
We read our Poetry books today.
We’re trying to build stamina in our Math Daily 3 today.

the learning of the “er”,

this song at home, to help your child remember the grapheme spellings as well:
-Home-Reading – Please
have your child read around 15 minutes every night. If we run out of other titles of the Level A white
paper books your child is currently reading for home-reading, please log your
child onto his/her kidsa-z.com reading account to find other titles in Level A
that he/she hasn’t read yet. Then write
down the title of that book onto your child’s “Reading Log”. Your child will read 1 book a night.
-Kidsa-z.com Reading – Besides reading the at-home white readers that are going home every day, you may also log on to “Raz-Kids”, using the kidsa-z.com website. The login information is taped on your child’s purple folder. The password is the picture cue.
Mrs. Daniel’s class - the account information is still under her

Ms. Mui’s class – the account is under her username: “grmui”
