Highlights:
Mrs. Daniel’s and Mrs. Leung-Chow took our clay pots out of their molds yesterday and they look amazing!!!  The inside has been all smoothed out and the outside looks like stones or pebbles.  We have to let them continue drying over the weekend before they can be put in the kiln.

Mrs. Zaharichuk has set up some building centers at the Learning Commons to test our building and thinking skills!  Today she spent some time explaining what each center was and the expectations.  Students got to pick one center to explore.

Homework:
Literacy M.A.P. – Yay, it’s the weekend, take a break!

Tell and Show: Our quest for clue continues with quizzical and quiet letter “q”.  Think over the weekend about what quality mystery obejcts to pick!

Dream Box: Dreambox is an interactive math program that the students have been working on here at school.  We encourage the students to log in at home and practice developing their problem solving skills. Teachers are able to track their progress and see what areas they are excelling in or that may need improvement. Here is the link: https://play.dreambox.com/login/dq8q/panoramahs

Home Reading – Please have your child read around 20 minutes every night.  Don’t forget to ask questions and have conversations about the text.

Kidsa-z.com Reading – Besides reading the at-home white readers that are going home every day, you may also log on to “Raz-Kids”, using the kidsa-z.com website.  The login information is taped on your child’s purple folder.

Ask Me About:
What center did I explore today?
What game did we play in gym?  How did Ms. Atwal ask us to move?

Important Dates:
Thursday, April 21 - Earth Day Assembly @ 12:55pm

Reminders:
If your child has not returned their Beautiful Items bag, please send it in by Monday, April 18th.  We will be revealing the secret object and creating a plan on how to build it.
