Highlights:
Today our school had a practice
lockdown. All the students sat in their
classroom’s designated spot and had to be very quiet. Our teachers locked the doors and we waited
for a signal. After some time, Constable
Kovacs came to speak with us and said our school did an amazing job! Even though today was just a practice, we
know that if there ever was a real lockdown, all the students would know exactly what to do.
Mrs. Daniel’s class got to help put
together a living tower by the Learning Commons. This tower is made out of plastic, but by the
end of the year, there will be an array of different planets growing inside our
school!
Mr. Kinsman came in to teach us a
special math game, helping us develop our mental math strategies. Mental math is where you memorize math facts
and don’t need any additional strategies to help you solve math facts.
