Important:
Attention all parents! We need newspapers and lots of them.  Please, please, please, please, send in with your child any old newspapers you may have (not magazines).  We are using them for our sensational science presentation next week.  Thank you!  We also need parent volunteers for April 6th (Mrs. Leung-Chow) and 7th (Mrs. Daniels) Please let your teacher know if you are available.

Highlights:
Just in time for Spring, our classes will be exploring the wonderful world of plants.  Each student got to pot a sunflower seed in soil, gave it a little water and placed it carefully by the window.  We will watch carefully over the next few weeks to see what happens.
Mr. Kinsman came to visit us today in math.  All the students had an opportunity to explore Dreambox a little further.  There are so many different games to explore: adding, subtracting, patterning and even working with ten frames!  Please continue to practice these skills at home by clicking on the link down below.

Homework:
Literacy M.A.P. – Take a break until Monday.

Tell and Show: Next week will be the opulent and ostentatious letter “O”.  What interesting and unique clues will you come up with?

Dream Box: Dream Box is an interactive math program that the students have been working on here at school.  We encourage the students to log in at home and practice developing their problem solving skills. Teachers are able to track their progress and see what areas they are excelling in or that may need improvement. Here is the link: https://play.dreambox.com/login/dq8q/panoramahs

Home Reading – Please have your child read around 20 minutes every night.  Don’t forget to ask questions and have conversations about the text.

Kidsa-z.com Reading – Besides reading the at-home white readers that are going home every day, you may also log on to “Raz-Kids”, using the kidsa-z.com website.  The login information is taped on your child’s purple folder.
