Highlights:
Today during our Reading Power lesson,
we learned about ‘questions’ and ‘visualizing’.
Did you know that good questions begin with the words: who, what, when,
where and why? When we are reading
books, good readers ask questions
about what they are reading, actively engaging their brains. When you visualize, your brain uses your 5
senses to make pictures or movies in your brain. You actually see/experience what the author is saying in the book! This can help us decode unfamiliar words or
understand new terms. We will practice these good reader skills at school and
at home!
Everyone is done painting their pots
and they look amazing! Students that
finished their pots yesterday got to look at their finished product. The paint once looked flat and chalky, but
now is shiny and colourful!

everyone gets an opportunity to bring in some extra items.
